Job seekers in Gwangju and Jeonnam face fewer geographical and temporal barriers as Buk-gu launches a dedicated online hiring hub to connect local talent with regional employers, according to a municipal announcement.
Buk-gu Online Employment Pavilion Operations
The Buk-gu district office in Gwangju announced on the 15th that it is running the “2026 Buk-gu Job Matching Day Online Recruitment Hall” through next month. The digital platform aims to alleviate labor shortages for local enterprises while expanding employment opportunities for residents by eliminating traditional time and space constraints in the hiring market.
Operating on a separately established website, the virtual portal features information on approximately 200 companies, comprehensive job postings, and direct online application functions. Job seekers can filter available positions by job category, work location, and specific employment conditions to target fields aligned with their career interests.
Employer Support and Company Matching Services
Participating companies receive customized support through the platform, including the creation of detailed corporate profile pages and talent search functionalities. These tools are designed to help employers identify qualified candidates efficiently and transition digital applications into actual hires.
Offline Job Matching Day and Support Programs
To complement the digital initiative, Buk-gu will host an offline Job Matching Day on November 18. The in-person event will feature direct corporate recruitment interviews alongside career support programs.
Attendees can access professional employment counseling from industry insiders, resume and cover letter consulting sessions, and identification photo shoots designed to enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
Official Statements on Regional Employment Expansion
“We prepared this online recruitment hall to provide job seekers with broad information and employment opportunities while strengthening practical support for companies to find the talent they need,” said Shin Su-jung, head of Buk-gu. She added that the district remains committed to promoting diverse support projects to expand high-quality jobs.
Residents seeking detailed information regarding the online recruitment platform can visit the official Buk-gu district office website or contact the Buk-gu Job Policy Division at 062-410-6577.
