Turkish Pilot Buried in Istanbul

The Turkish pilot of a firefighting plane, who died on November 13 while working in Croatia, was buried today in Istanbul. It was later discovered he also had Bulgarian citizenship, according to turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakl, who announced the news on his Facebook page.

Thirty-nine-year-old pilot Hassan Bahar was honored with a hero’s send-off. A mourning ceremony was attended by officers and officials in uniform.
