Seizing Untraced Mooncakes
During the regulatory inspection, functional forces discovered that the business was actively offering mooncakes for sale without any documentation verifying their origin or source.
The confiscated inventory included 50 large mooncakes weighing 450 grams each and 250 baked mooncakes weighing 90 grams each. Because the facility owner failed to present legal paperwork proving where the baked goods were manufactured or sourced, enforcement officers documented the violations under applicable commercial and food safety regulations.
Fines and Holiday Safety Warnings
Based on the inspection results and existing legal guidelines, the competent authorities issued a decision to penalize the establishment with an administrative fine of 8 million dong.
Officials from the Liem Tuyen Ward Police urged local business households to strictly comply with commercial regulations and avoid trading in products lacking clear origins or proper labeling.
Furthermore, authorities advised consumers to remain vigilant during the holiday season, recommending that buyers select items with explicit, complete labeling regarding ingredients and expiration dates to protect public health and community safety.
