California Cade Electronic has announced a recall for approximately 179,739 projecting finger light toys because the products fail to meet mandatory federal safety standards for children’s items, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The toys contain button cell batteries that are easily accessible to young children, creating severe internal chemical burn and fatality risks if swallowed.
Recall Details and Product Specifications
The recalled merchandise consists of California Cade Electronic Finger Lights packed in 50-count boxes in white, blue, red, and green color options, according to safety filings. Each light contains three button cell batteries. Product packaging features labels on the front bearing the text “California Cade Electronic” and “Finger Flashlights.”
According to federal safety regulators, the items were manufactured in China and distributed by California Cade Electronic LLC, based in Hacienda Heights, California. The products were sold online through Amazon.com between March 2015 and July 2026, with retail prices ranging from $5 to $16.
As of the CPSC recall announcement, no injuries have been formally reported in connection with the products.
Consumer Remedies and Hazard Disposal
Federal regulators and the manufacturing firm advise consumers to immediately stop using the finger lights and store them out of reach of children. According to CPSC guidelines, swallowed button or coin batteries can cause severe internal chemical burns and death.
California Cade Electronic is providing full refunds to purchasers. To secure a refund, consumers must properly discard the finger lights into household trash—following local hazardous waste procedures for batteries—and submit a photograph of the discarded items to customer service at ccecamazonservice@gmail.com.
