Cal Men’s Golf Set to Compete at Cabo Collegiate

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – The University of California men’s golf team continues its 2026 spring season at the Cabo Collegiate, taking place from March 1-3 at the Twin Dolphin Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The tournament features a par-71, 7,156-yard course.

Tournament Details

The Golden Bears are one of 15 teams participating in the 3-day, 54-hole competition. Teams will play 18 holes each day. The Twin Dolphin Club is the official host course for the 2026 Cabo Collegiate [1].

Recent Performance

Cal is looking to build on its performance at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate earlier this month, where they finished 11th out of 19 teams. Sophomore Ziqin Zhou achieved a career-best finish, tying for third place with a six-under par 204, including a personal best four-under 66 in the final round. Fellow sophomore Sihao Cong secured his fourth top-25 finish of the season, tying for 21st at 2 over par. [1]

History at Cabo Collegiate

The Bears have a history of competing in the Cabo Collegiate, dating back to 2016. Their highest finish came in 2018, where they placed second. Last season, Cal tied for 11th place, with Zhou leading the team in a 22nd-place finish at 4-over 217, and Cong tying for 27th at 5-over 218. [1]
