Cal Gymnastics Achieves Program Best on Pommel Horse, Falls to Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – The California men’s gymnastics team posted its best overall score of the season on Saturday at McCasland Field House, highlighted by a program-best performance on the pommel horse. Despite strong individual showings, the Golden Bears fell to No. 1 Oklahoma, who also achieved their top score of the year at 331.600.

Pommel Horse Record

Cal’s pommel horse score of 53.950 surpassed the previous modern-era program record set at the 2025 NCAA Championships. Sophomore Trigg Dudley led the charge with a personal best of 13.500, followed by graduate student Kaien Orion’s 13.750, tying the best result by a Bear this season. Junior Harry Kim matched his career high with a score of 13.600.

Individual Highlights

Senior Khalen Curry delivered a season-best 13.750 on floor, while sophomore Matteo Bardana scored 13.600. Redshirt senior Jasper Smith-Gordon anchored the vault lineup with a 14.350, earning third place in the meet. Sophomore Sam Cirlincione achieved a personal best of 13.550 on rings, the highest score by a Cal gymnast this season.

On parallel bars, Kaien Orion secured second place with a personal best of 13.600.
