PHNOM PENH, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) — Cambodian Defense Ministry’s Undersecretary of State and spokesperson Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata reported on Friday that Thai F-16 fighter jets dropped approximately 40 bombs in a border village within Banteay Meanchey province.

According to a press briefing, the bombardment resulted in the destruction of civilian homes and public infrastructure in Chok Chey village.

Additionally, the Thai military engaged in artillery fire targeting a civilian residential area in Poipet Municipality, also located in Banteay Meanchey province, she stated.
