Victoria mboko Reaches Adelaide International Final
Toronto’s Victoria Mboko is one step closer to claiming the Adelaide International title, securing her place in the final with a dominant performance on Thursday.
The 19-year-old Canadian defeated Australian Kimberley Birrell 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinal round.Mboko’s powerful serve proved decisive, with eight aces throughout the match.While she also committed three double faults, her overall service game adn aggressive play overwhelmed Birrell.
mboko capitalized on her break opportunities, converting five of seven to consistently put pressure on her opponent. She also demonstrated strong first-serve accuracy, winning 80% of her first-serve points. In contrast, Birrell struggled to find her rhythm, failing to register an ace or a break point during the match.
The eighth-seeded Mboko will now face a challenging final against third-seeded mirra Andreeva of Russia on Friday. This match will be a key test for Mboko as she continues her preparation for the upcoming australian Open.
