The 46th edition of the Intercolegiados “Generación de Campeones” games concluded its zonal phase in the Urabá subregion of Antioquia on July 18, 2026. The host municipality, Carepa, secured the most titles with eight victories, followed by Apartadó and Turbo with six each. These competitions, organized by Indeportes Antioquia, serve as a critical qualification pathway for the departmental finals.

The five-day athletic event, which began on July 14, 2026, brought together approximately 2,500 student-athletes from 11 municipalities across the Urabá region. According to official reports from Indeportes Antioquia, the host delegation of Carepa topped the medal count with eight championships. Their success spanned multiple disciplines, including chess, women’s pre-juvenile and juvenile futsal, weightlifting, and a clean sweep of all four volleyball categories.

Apartadó and Turbo maintained a strong competitive presence, each securing six tournament titles. Apartadó demonstrated significant strength in field sports and athletics, claiming all four soccer championships, one athletics title, and the women’s juvenile basketball trophy. Turbo’s performance was defined by dominance in indoor sports, taking home three futsal titles, two men’s basketball championships, and one patinaje (skating) victory.

The games featured competition in nine sports, including chess, athletics, basketball, football, futsal, soccer, weightlifting, skating, and volleyball. While Carepa, Apartadó, and Turbo claimed the majority of the 24 available titles, other municipalities also made their mark on the leaderboard:

The conclusion of the Urabá zonal phase aligns with the broader institutional calendar managed by Indeportes Antioquia. As the Urabá stage closed, simultaneous zonal games were held in Ciudad Bolívar (Suroeste) and Amalfi (Nordeste and Magdalena Medio).

• Oriente: July 21–25, 2026, in La Ceja del Tambo.
