Carroll Dragons Soccer Teams Dominate, Advance to Playoffs

The Carroll Dragons soccer program concluded an exceptional regular season with both the boys and girls teams securing district championships. The teams demonstrated significant depth, talent, and leadership throughout the season, setting the stage for a strong playoff run.

Boys Team Achieves Top Ranking

The Carroll boys soccer team, led by a strong senior core, finished the regular season as the top-ranked team in Class 6A according to The Dallas Morning News. Senior Jad Shehadeh spearheaded the offense, recording 21 goals, five assists, and 47 total points. Juniors John Skiermont (18 goals/39 points) and Drew Stitzel (10 goals/27 points) likewise made significant contributions, alongside seniors Cole Swett and Hyoungju Kim. Every player, from Josh Dyer to Andrew Scrogham, played a role in the team’s success. Southlake Style reports the team’s winning culture was built through the contributions of all players.

Girls Team Remains Undefeated in District Play

The Carroll girls soccer team enjoyed an undefeated district season, finishing with an 18-0-1 record. Their overall record stands at an impressive 22-0-1, including 12 wins at home and 10 on the road. The team secured dominant victories in district play, including 5-0 wins over Northwest Eaton and Keller Central, an 8-0 victory at Justin Northwest, and a 6-0 win versus Hurst L.D. Bell. Payton Hayes led the team in scoring with 33 goals, ranking fifth in the area according to The Dallas Morning News.

Jad Shehadeh’s performance has been widely recognized, with The Dallas Morning News highlighting his 21 goals as of March 11, 2026.
