St. Cloud is encouraging shoppers too support local businesses today. It’s a chance to give back after the Black Friday rush. Small Business Saturday started over 15 years ago to help hometown stores gain exposure.

Woods Farmers Seed adn Nursery’s Morgan Franzwa says Small Business Saturday is even bigger for them than Black Friday. It’s a vital day for local businesses like theirs.
“Small Business Saturday is huge for us. It’s just one of those things where you’re supporting your small businesses and we couldn’t do it without our customers. my dad always said we want to value our customers’ time and money, and make it easy for them to come in and shop.”
Franzwa explains they focus on creating a memorable experience. They want customers to leave happy.

Small business Saturday provides a significant boost to independent stores. Fitzharris Ski Bike and Outdoor, a St. Cloud staple for nearly 75 years, is one example. Manager Benjamin Walz thinks it’s great that small businesses get this kind of attention. It’s a welcome spotlight.
