Public Inquiry Opens for Flégère Ski Area Requalification in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc has initiated a 32-day public inquiry regarding planned development and requalification work at the Flégère ski area. The inquiry, which began on Monday, March 2, 2026, aims to gather public feedback on the proposed improvements to the popular ski destination.
Details of the Public Inquiry
The public inquiry will run from March 2nd to April 2nd, 2026. Residents and interested parties can review the project details and submit their observations during this period.
Commissioner of Inquiry
Mr. Philippe Jacquemin, appointed by the Administrative Court of Grenoble, will serve as the investigating commissioner. He will be available to receive public input during scheduled sessions:
- Monday, March 2nd, from 9:00 a.m. To 12:00 p.m., at Chamonix Mont-Blanc Town Hall
- Friday, March 20th, from 2:00 p.m. To 5:30 p.m., at the Argentière village house
- Thursday, April 2nd, from 2:00 p.m. To 5:00 p.m., at Chamonix Mont-Blanc Town Hall

The documents are accessible Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. To 12:00 p.m. And 1:30 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. At the Town Hall, and Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. To 12:30 p.m. And 2:00 p.m. To 5:30 p.m. At the Argentière Village House.
Submitting Observations
Individuals can submit their observations in the following ways:
- In person, by recording them in the inquiry register at the designated locations.
- In writing, addressed to: Mairie de Chamonix Mont-Blanc – 38 Place de l’Eglise – Hôtel de Ville – BP 89 – 74402 Chamonix Mont-Blanc, clearly marked “For the attention of the Commissioner Investigator/Public Inquiry works and developments for the overall requalification of the Flégère ski area.”
