Chaozhou City is initiating an open recruitment drive for football players to form a representative team for the 2026 Guangdong Urban Football Super League. This initiative aims to bolster the city’s football talent pool and achieve success in the upcoming provincial competition.

The 2026 Guangdong Urban Football Super League, scheduled from April to November, will adopt a home-and-away format, with each city hosting matches. Eligibility Criteria
The recruitment is open to male football enthusiasts aged 16 to 40 (born between January 1, 1986 and December 31, 2010). Applicants must demonstrate a passion for football, adherence to laws and regulations, great conduct, a strong sense of collective honor, team spirit, and dedication. They must also be willing to strictly follow team management regulations.
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a second-generation resident ID card representing their respective prefectures and cities.
- Possess a Chaozhou household registration for more than one year.
- Be a full-time student at a school in Chaozhou City, having gained admission through the city’s high school entrance examination or college entrance examination (including postgraduate studies), or through sports recruitment by a university.
- Be employed in Chaozhou City with a valid labor contract and proof of employment, and have continuously paid social insurance in the city for 24 months prior to the registration deadline.
Registration and Selection Process
The selection process will unfold in three stages:
- Registration (March 1st – March 5th): Applicants must complete the “Chaozhou City Representative Team Athletes Selection Registration Form,” attach a copy of their ID card and resume, and submit it via WeChat (ID: 15913097467).
- Preliminary Selection (March 7th): The coaching staff will review registration materials, shortlist candidates, and notify those selected for further evaluation.
- Training and Final Selection: Training details will be announced separately. The coaching staff will finalize the team roster based on performance during training.
Critical Considerations
Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of all submitted materials. Any instances of fraud will result in immediate disqualification. Selected athletes must adhere to training discipline and comply with the coaching staff’s instructions, avoiding unauthorized absences or tardiness. The city will cover event-related expenses, including registration, insurance, equipment, travel, and training support.
