Charlie Day to Star in Golf Comedy ‘Golf Trip’
Charlie Day, best known for his role in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” has been cast in the upcoming comedy feature, Golf Trip, according to Nexus Point News. The film is slated to begin production in Los Angeles this July.
Synopsis
Golf Trip centers around three longtime friends who reunite for their annual golf getaway, a tradition intended as a respite from their daily lives. Their relaxing escape takes an unexpected turn when they are paired with a frustratingly tricky single golfer, leading to escalating tensions, clashing personalities and a series of comedic misadventures.
Charlie Day’s Recent and Upcoming Projects
Day’s recent work includes a role in Ethan Coen’s Honey Don’t!. He continues to be involved in television with Apple TV’s Mythic Quest and its spin-off, Side Quest. Day voices the character of Luigi in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, currently in theaters, and is set to voice Seamus in LAIKA’s animated feature, Wildwood, scheduled for release later this year.
