Juliet Season 2: Return to De Haan with Charlotte De Bruyne

The Belgian crime drama Juliet is set to return for a second season, once again starring Charlotte De Bruyne as the titular police detective. The series, which premiered in March 2024 on VRT 1, will continue to be set in the coastal municipality of De Haan, Belgium.

Plot and Production Details

Season 2 will follow head inspector Juliet Dumon (Charlotte De Bruyne) as she tackles complex murder cases in De Haan. Alongside her investigations, she will navigate the challenges of combining her demanding job with the foster care of her niece, Chloë (Amber Naert). VRT 1 reports that the novel season will too introduce someone who challenges Juliet’s future plans, forcing her to make challenging choices.

The series is created by Roel Mondelaers and Hilde Vandermeeren, with scripts penned by Mondelaers, Vandermeeren, Tyche Beyens, Rik D’hiet, and Wouter Van Haver. Caroline de Maeyer will direct the second season. Returning cast members include Nabil Mallat, Nicki von Tempelhoff, Fania Sorel, and Arend Pinoy, with Jonas Vermeulen and Helder Onkelinx joining the main cast.

Premiere and Broadcast

Juliet 2 will have its premiere at the Film Festival of Oostende on February 2, 2026, before airing on VRT 1 in March 2026. The series is a coproduction of Eyeworks Film & TV Drama, VRT, Warner Bros International Television Production Germany, and ZDF, with support from the Tax Shelter measure of the Belgian Federal Government.

About the Series

Juliet initially centered around police detective Juliet Dumon returning to De Haan after the death of her estranged father, Herman. She temporarily joined the local Mid-coast Crime Unit, working alongside Jamal (Nabil Mallat), whereas also seeking a foster family for her niece, Chloë (Amber Naert). The series explores themes of family secrets and personal closure amidst complex criminal investigations.
