A major change is reportedly coming to the ChatGPT AI program: users of the free version of the chatbot could start seeing ads as early as next year. Austrian software developer Tibor Blaho announced this on X, as reported by Le Temps.
Blaho discovered matching code in a pre-release version of the ChatGPT app for Android. He shared a screenshot confirming his findings.
As the computer specialist website “Bleepingcomputer” suggests, OpenAI could display personalized advertisements,presenting products related to user requests. Blaho writes:
“OpenAI is preparing to roll out ads in ChatGPT. The ads will be served through a new API, and will be personalized based on user data.”
