The first half of a dominated Barcelona ended even more dramatically as Ronald Araújo was sent off. The Uruguayan, attempting to outpace Cucurella, collided with the Spaniard and received his second yellow card, forcing him to leave the Stamford Bridge pitch shortly before halftime.
The final stage once again saw a goal disallowed for the english team – this time, scored by a Brazilian. Ten minutes into the second half, Garnacho received the ball on the left wing and passed to Andrey Santos, who had just replaced Malo Gusto. The midfielder shot low from the edge of the area and, with a little help from Joan García, found the net, but the goal was canceled due to the assister’s offside position.
