A YEAR 8 student has tragically died at a secondary school.
The child died after a medical emergency at Collingwood College in Camberley, Surrey, on Monday.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said the child was rushed to Frimley Park hospital in a “life-threatening” condition.
They were also treated at the scene but sadly passed away.
A letter seen by the BBC read: “As a college community, we are deeply affected by this tragic loss.”
Emergency services scrambled to the scene at around 2pm.

“A student was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Frimley Park Hospital in a life-threatening condition”, it added.
Surrey Coroner’s Court said the death had been referred to the coroner.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “SECAmb was called at approx. 2.10pm on Monday, 9 February to reports of a medical emergency at Collingwood College in Kingston Road, Camberley.
“Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex.
“A student was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Frimley Park Hospital in a life-threatening condition.”
