One Dead, One Injured in Chilliwack Shooting: IHIT Investigates
Chilliwack, B.C. – One person is dead and another is in serious condition following a shooting in Chilliwack, British Columbia, on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of the investigation, according to RCMP.
Details of the Incident
At approximately 8:40 a.m. PT, local RCMP officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Mellard Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
