Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Nigerian counterpart Yusuf Maitama Tuggar on Tuesday exchanged congratulatory messages on the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Wang said since the establishment of the China-Nigeria Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024, the two sides have continuously deepened political mutual trust, achieved fruitful cooperation in various fields, and maintained close coordination in regional and international affairs.
China is willing to make good use of the China-Nigeria Intergovernmental Committee mechanism and seize the opportunity presented by the implementation of the important consensus of the two leaders and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to take the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.
