The donation, arriving in July 2026, includes a smart television, ten footballs, Chinese language textbooks, and various laboratory materials. These resources aim to bolster local learning initiatives and solidify the school’s standing as an established site for Chinese language instruction.

Expanding the Classroom Experience

Zenobia Anum-Addo, the director of Zenaddo International School, confirmed that the facility introduced Chinese language classes approximately one year ago. She described the donation as an unexpected gesture that supports the growing interest in the language among the student body. The contribution serves to modernize the curriculum, with the smart television facilitating digital engagement and the new textbooks providing a standardized language framework.

Corporate Ties and Cultural Diplomacy

This collaboration is anchored in the 2026 “Year of China-Africa People-to-People Exchanges.” For the China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group, the move signals a shift toward community engagement that extends beyond its traditional infrastructure projects. Shi Shenghai, an engineer with the firm, noted that the company has maintained operations in Ghana for over two decades. Liu Baijun, the Chinese director of the CIUG, stated that the donation is intended to enhance the quality of teaching while fostering stronger diplomatic and cultural ties between the two nations.
