Crowds of people visit the Festival Chinese New Year 2026 which will be held at the HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta. One of the visitors, Jesi (26), praised the event decoration which made her keep taking photos.
“Good, good. It makes really good photos. There are actually lots of spots, but because it’s so busy, you have to be patient to get good photos,” said Jesi when met, Saturday (14/2/2026).

Jesi also praised the Cahaya Harmoni LED show that was displayed. He admitted that he deliberately came to this festival to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
“It’s cool, it’s great, this is the first time I’ve seen it,” said Jesi.
“Because it’s a holiday, everyone is celebrating valentineWell, I’ve just come here with my friends. Entertainment,” he added.
Another resident, Lidia (28), also came to this festival on purpose refreshing. However, he did not expect the festival to be so busy with visitors today.
“Wow, I didn’t think it would be this busy, I thought a lot of people were going on holiday outside Jakarta, because it’s a long Chinese New Year holiday, it turns out it’s still busy here,” said Lidia.
Lidia admits that she likes the photo spot at Harmony Lantern Walk the most. According to him, this festival is a cheap and cheerful choice for entertainment for Jakarta residents.
“At the lantern walk, it was really good for taking photos, surrounded by lanterns. But you have to be patient, so that the photos come out good, like when there aren’t many people passing by, you can take photos straight away. But it takes a while, because it’s always busy,” said Lidia.
“It’s interesting, it’s really entertaining for the residents. It’s cheap, you only have to pay for parking, you can take nice photos,” he added.
Lidia also praised the beauty of the Chinese New Year lanterns and ornaments at the Chinese New Year festival. He hopes that celebrations like this festival will be held again on every major holiday.
“The hope is that if there is a holiday celebration event, it will continue to be held, so that it will become a refreshing spot and a new style of tourist recreation,” he said.
