Chongqing-Moscow Direct Flights Resume, Boosting Connectivity Between Southwest China and Russia
Chongqing, China – November 18, 2025 – Direct passenger air service between Chongqing Municipality in Southwest China and Moscow, Russia, has been successfully re-established as of today, November 18, 2025. The route is operated by Tianjin Airlines, signifying a strengthening of economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
This resumption of direct flights addresses a critical need for enhanced connectivity, offering a convenient travel option for business travelers, tourists, and those with personal connections in both China and Russia. The service is particularly notable for chongqing, a major economic hub in Western China, and aims to facilitate increased trade and investment.
Currently, the route operates with an Airbus A330 aircraft. Outbound flights are scheduled to depart from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) at 10:55 a.m. Beijing Time on Tuesdays, arriving at Moscow Sheremetyevo International airport (SVO) at 2:55 p.m. local time. Return flights depart Moscow at 4:40 p.m. local time on the same day,landing in chongqing at 5:45 a.m. Beijing Time on Wednesdays.
Tianjin Airlines intends to maintain this weekly round-trip service through late February 2026. Responding to anticipated demand, the airline plans to increase the frequency to two round-trip flights per week starting in March 2026. This expansion demonstrates confidence in the route’s potential and commitment to serving the growing travel needs between Chongqing and Moscow.
