Appleton was paired with professional dancer Amy Dowden for the 24th season of the dance competition show, but voters sent him home first on Oct. 4. Despite the early elimination, the intense rehearsal schedule produced immediate physical results. Celebrities appearing on the British hit show dedicate a minimum of 12 hours a week to practice, with many competing pairs training up to 50 hours weekly to perfect their routines, according to reporting from the Mirror.
