Previously, when natural ice conditions were favorable, skaters utilized flooded pastures. Though, the new track provides a more reliable and dedicated space for the sport. as of this morning, the ice has reached a thickness of approximately 1.5 centimeters.
“While the ice isn’t yet at the ideal quality we strive for, it is certainly thick enough to enjoy a skate,” stated Wieringa, a representative of the local ice club.
