The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest (CISSSMO) has opened an internal recruitment process for a clinical and professional services coordinator at the future Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital, according to job postings released by the regional health authority and published via Workopolis.
Mapping Clinical Leadership for a New Regional Facility
According to the official job description, the coordinator will operate under the authority of the assistant director, transformation support component, of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital direction.
The position requires managing the planning, organization, control, and evaluation of clinical services and professional practices leading up to the facility’s opening. The appointee will coordinate human resources development, ensure continuity of care across regional sectors, and collaborate with client-program directions and clinical directions to align service planning with targets set by Santé Québec.
Navigating Matrix Management and Hospital Activation
The role demands an innovative vision centered on an interdisciplinary approach and patient-family care partnerships.
Because the team will develop progressively ahead of the hospital’s launch, the coordinator will direct a matrix-management structure where staff members report functionally to this role while potentially maintaining hierarchical ties to other clinical directions.
Additional duties include contributing to the hospital’s activation phase, validating physical layouts and logistical scenarios, assisting with real estate and specialized equipment planning, and supporting workforce integration and recruitment for the Planning, Activation, and Operationalization (PAO) team.
Strictly Internal Competition and Professional Prerequisites
According to the CISSSMO posting, the competition is strictly reserved for establishments within the Health and Social Services Network (RSSS) that were integrated into Santé Québec on December 1, 2024.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a health or social services discipline and possess professional experience in a management role, ideally within a hospital setting.
Experience in construction or major renovation projects is required, alongside a thorough understanding of the health and social services administrative and legal framework.
Assets, Deadlines, and Application Channels
Assets for the position include membership in a professional health or social services order, a master’s degree or additional training in health services management or administration, and training in project management or the Lean approach.
