The project includes 39 beds in total. The structure will be divided into three levels. The ground floor it will host the common services and organizational logistics functions. The first floor it will be used as a protected residence for the elderly, with 19 beds, as well as clinics and rehabilitation spaces, including boxes for individual physiotherapy treatments. The second floor will host the healthcare residence for non-self-sufficient elderly people, with 20 beds, ensuring a response to the needs of the most fragile people. In total, 7.4 million euros were allocated to carry out the work.
The president Aquariums underlined: «The start of this construction site in San Ginesio represents a tangible sign of the reconstruction that is progressing and the restoration of a fundamental service for the entire area. In a context marked by a longer-lived population and an increase in chronic conditions, RSAs become an essential tool for guaranteeing a future perspective for our internal areas, allowing elderly people to remain connected to their roots. With an investment of over 7 million euros, not only are we reopening a structure damaged by the earthquake, but we are strengthening local healthcare with the aim of decongesting hospitals and emergency rooms.”
Silvia Luconi
«Not only are we healing another wound left by the 2016 earthquake – said the councilor Baldelli – but we do much more: we give an important area a modern health facility capable of responding to the needs of the community. With the team of architects and engineers of the healthcare and hospital building structure, we are taking the facility into the future with internal organizational solutions and technological measures capable of restoring hotel-type quality of stays.”
«The start of this construction site has a double positive value – remarked the councilor Calcinaro – for the community of San Ginesio it means bringing back essential post-earthquake services capable of regenerating the local economy and employment; for the Marche system it represents a necessary response to decongest emergency rooms and hospital departments, offering specific solutions for chronic conditions in the area”.
Talking too Castelli: «Today, with the San Ginesio RSA, we have reached a total investment of 74 million; for this specific structure we have allocated the significant amount of 7.4 million euros. The resources are there: the priority now is knowing how to use them well and quickly.”
The mayor Ciabocco said: «The RSA is vital for San Ginesio, exactly as it was in the years preceding the earthquake. Having these structures available again is a great satisfaction because it allows people to stay in the area. It is the engine and the beating heart necessary for our community to become as important as it was before.”
