Colorado School of Mines Men’s Golf Ties for Fourth at RJGA Visit Stockton Regional Preview

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Colorado School of Mines men’s golf team secured its best team finish of the season, tying for fourth place at the RJGA Visit Stockton Regional Preview, concluding on February 24, 2026. Mines Athletics
After starting the final round in sixth place, the Orediggers carded a one-under par team score of 287, finishing at +5 for the tournament. They tied with #23 Cal State East Bay and Westminster, trailing #16 CSU Pueblo (-7), #19 Western Washington (E), and Colorado Christian (+3).
Liam Allan led the team with a two-under par 70, tying for seventh overall at -3. Allan briefly tied for the lead after a birdie-eagle sequence on the 15th and 16th holes. Lukas Taggart also contributed a 71, with an eagle-birdie sequence on the 11th and 12th holes, finishing tied for 29th at +3. Taggart improved his position by 27 spots during the final round.
Colt Tenpenny shot a 73 for the second consecutive day, tying for 23rd at +2, even as Lucas Schulte also recorded a 73, moving up 10 spots to tie for 32nd at +4. Carter Lolli’s 76 was the non-counting score, finishing tied for 58th at +7.
The Orediggers excelled on par 3s, tying for the lowest scoring average in the field at 3.05, led by Tenpenny at -3. They also ranked second-lowest on par 5s with an average of 4.68, paced by Allan’s -5.
The tournament provided Mines with a preview of The Reserve at Spanos Park, which will host the NCAA West/South Central Regional in May.
Western Washington’s Rex Wilson won medalist honors at -5 with a final-round 67, with a five-way tie for second at -4, one stroke ahead of Allan.
Colorado School of Mines will next compete at the Las Vegas Desert Classic in Boulder City, Nevada.
