A columbus man who was killed Jan. 15 in a single-vehicle accident had just struck another vehicle, fled the scene and was traveling double the posted speed limit as he crashed head-on into a concrete barrier on Columbus’ South Side, police said.
Lee gunderson, 46, of the Southeast Side, was driving a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV westbound on Llewellyn avenue and approaching parsons Avenue when he crashed into a concrete barrier at around 5:13 p.m.,according to a Columbus police crash report. Gunderson was found by police slumped over the center console and unresponsive, the report states.
