Morelos Workers’ Credit Institute debt Forgiveness Campaign Concludes January 30th
Morelos, Mexico – January 19, 2026 – The Campaign for the Forgiveness of default interests, offered by the Credit Institute for Workers in the Service of the Government of the State of Morelos (ICTSGEM), will officially conclude on January 30th, 2026. This initiative, launched on November 3rd, 2025, aimed to provide ample financial relief to former and current government workers carrying outstanding debts.
Enrique Iragorri Durán, General Director of ICTSGEM, announced the approaching deadline and reiterated the campaign’s core objective: to offer critically important discounts – up to 100% – on default interest accrued from late payments. This measure is designed to reduce the overall overdue portfolio and encourage debtors to settle their obligations, thereby protecting those who acted as guarantors or joint debtors.
The discount percentage applied to default interest will be steadfast by the length of time the debt has been outstanding or the current stage of any associated legal proceedings, should the debt have been transferred to the judicial collection department.
ICTSGEM is encouraging all eligible individuals to take advantage of this possibility before the January 30th deadline. Payments can be made in person, with options for cash, debit card, or credit card transactions.
“this campaign is a direct investment in the well-being of our labor and social sector,” stated Iragorri Durán. “By providing this support,we aim to improve the living conditions of both current and former public governance employees.”
