The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report for the 2025-2026 period. This marks the 11th consecutive year MD Anderson has held the top ranking, and it has consistently been among the top two cancer hospitals in the nation since the survey began in 1990.
Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research
MD Anderson is a comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Act of 1971, focusing exclusively on cancer care, research, prevention, and education. The institution employs over 22,000 people, including nearly 1,800 faculty scholars, and leads the nation in NCI-funded grants and clinical trials. Cord Blood Bank Collector Position Available
MD Anderson is currently seeking Cord Blood Bank Collectors. This role involves educating potential donor mothers about the public cord blood donation program, collecting medical history, facilitating cord blood collection, and ensuring timely transport to the processing laboratory. Bilingual candidates (English & Spanish) are preferred.
Positions are available with varied shifts, including overnight hours (11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays, and variable shifts. The salary range for this position is $50,500 to $75,500 annually.
