The Gougane Barra Hotel, situated near Ballingeary, earned the rural destination of the year accolade, while Casey’s Hotel in Glengarriff captured the Georgina Campbell 3-star hotel of the year prize. Ballymaloe House Hotel added to the county’s success by winning the Georgina Campbell country house award.
Additional Cork winners included Prim’s Bookshop & Wine Bar in Kinsale, which received the wine experience award. Ruth Healy of Urru culinary store in Bandon was honored with the long haul hero award.
