Norwegian Rider Cornelius Tøndel Heads too teh US for Supercross and Motocross

Norwegian talent Cornelius Tøndel is set for a major career change in 2026, after signing with the International Supercross Race Team. The move comes shortly after his farewell to the JWR honda team, with whom he spent the 2025 season focusing on the MXGP World Championship.

Tøndel had the opportunity to experience American racing this year, competing in some AMA Pro Motocross championship races with JWR Honda. He’s impressed with his speed and adaptability, and thes performances have now opened the door for a full-time move to the United States.

For 2026, Tøndel will compete in both Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross with the International Supercross Race Team. The move will also see him switch to a Kawasaki,with the intention of competing in Supercross aboard a 450cc. It’s a significant change in discipline and environment, but one that the Norwegian rider is embracing with enthusiasm.

After years spent growing in Europe, this new chapter represents a great opportunity for Tøndel, who will face the unique challenge of American Supercross, while aiming to establish himself on the US outdoor scene.
