KPK Raids Riau Acting Governor’s Residences, Seizes Cash

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated cash and a number of documents when searching the official residence and private residence of Acting Governor of Riau SF Hariyanto on Monday, December 15, 2025.

The search is connected to the alleged extortion and gratification case involving inactive Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid.

“Investigators also confiscated a sum of money at the private residence belonging to the Deputy Governor, who currently serves as Acting Governor. They seized cash in both rupiah and foreign currency,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the Red and White building in Jakarta on Monday.

Prasetyo hasn’t disclosed the exact amount of cash seized, as investigators are still in the process of counting it. He added that investigators will verify all confiscated evidence.

“Investigators will confirm their findings with relevant parties, including the suspects and the owner of the property – the Deputy Governor – today,” he stated.
