Corsair 3200D: Airflow-Focused Mid-Tower Case Redefines Component Compatibility
Corsair has unveiled the 3200D mid-tower case, a successor to the 3000D, designed to prioritize airflow and accommodate a wide range of PC components. Available in black, white, and a modern smoke color option, the 3200D aims to deliver a balance of performance, aesthetics, and affordability, starting at $79.99.
Enhanced Airflow and Design
The 3200D features a redesigned front panel with a pattern reminiscent of Fractal Design’s Torrent series, optimized for improved airflow. This ventilated construction, combined with pre-installed Corsair RS120 fans, efficiently draws cool air into the chassis, minimizing noise levels. The case notably lacks a removable top panel, instead offering a large open area with mounting options and a removable magnetic mesh filter.
Connectivity and I/O
Located on the front top of the case, the power button is accompanied by a comprehensive I/O panel. This includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack, catering to modern connectivity needs.
Component Compatibility and Cooling
The 3200D supports up to two 360mm radiators, mountable at either the front or the top. Fan support includes three 120mm or two 140mm fans at the front and top, a 120mm fan at the rear, and two 120mm fans at the bottom, with one angled to direct airflow towards the GPU. The case accommodates GPUs up to 375mm in length and CPU coolers up to 165mm in height, and power supplies up to 220mm in length.
Corsair has also incorporated support for reverse-connector motherboards, including Asus BTF, MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project Zero, facilitating clean and streamlined builds. A built-in adjustable GPU sag bracket further enhances stability for high-end graphics cards.
Storage and Expansion
The 3200D offers storage options for up to three 2.5-inch SSDs and one 3.5-inch HDD. Cable management is aided by a side-mounted shroud, contributing to a cleaner interior aesthetic.
Pricing and Availability
The Corsair 3200D is available for purchase through Corsair’s online store, authorized retailers, and distributors. The base model, including three Corsair RS120 120mm fans, starts at $79.99, with an additional $10 for models featuring ARGB fans. The case is backed by a two-year warranty.
