Derby-based emo revivalists Crash of Rhinos played their first show since 2013 on July 17, marking their return to the stage. The band kicked off a short tour in support of ‘Logbook,’ the Derby emo revivalists’ first album since that year. The tour continues in Leeds tomorrow before heading to Germany and, naturally, Italy.
The Return to Live Performance
The band’s return aligns with the release of ‘Logbook,’ which marks their first full-length project since 2013.
The decision to return to the road follows a challenging conclusion to their previous run. In an interview with Stereogum, band members Oli Craven and Richard "Biff" Birkin reflected on the logistical difficulties of their final tour in 2013. Craven noted the extreme variance in their live reception at the time, recalling that the band would play to "absolutely packed-out clubs" in Italy, only to perform for as few as three people in Switzerland.
Tour Schedule and International Dates
The current tour includes a mix of festival appearances and club dates across the United Kingdom and Europe. According to the band’s official schedule, the itinerary is as follows:
- July 18: Leeds, Quiet Steps Festival
- July 22: Munich, Sunny Red
- July 23: Brescia, Diluvio Festival
- July 24: Rome, Monk
- July 25: Umbertide, Italian Party
- August 1: London, Moth Club
- August 14: Oxford, Common Ground
- August 15: Bristol, The Louisiana
