Cross-Save Synchronization Goes Live
Pearl Abyss launched cross-save functionality for Crimson Desert on Thursday, July 16, as part of the 1.14.00 update. The feature enables synchronization across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC by linking individual platform accounts to a unified Pearl Abyss ID.
Steps for Platform Integration
To activate the feature, players must access the save menu and select the new cross-save option. The system prompts users to log in to their respective gaming platforms and link them to a Pearl Abyss ID; those without an ID can register directly through the interface.

Once linked, players must select the refresh option within the cross-save settings. Finally, users must manually select a cross-save slot at the bottom right of the save menu to upload data to the cloud. While available on consoles and PC, the feature is currently unavailable on macOS, which is slated for a future patch.
Managing Data and Platform Limits
The system imposes strict management rules: each Pearl Abyss ID is restricted to one account per platform, and only one cross-save slot is provided per ID.
Caution is advised when unlinking accounts. While users can switch between linked platforms, unlinking every platform account from a single Pearl Abyss ID will result in the permanent deletion of cloud-based cross-save data. Pearl Abyss recommends saving progress in a local slot before unlinking to avoid data loss.
Addressing Gameplay and Technical Bugs
Patch 1.14.00 also resolves several technical and gameplay issues. According to the official patch notes, the update includes:
- Quest Progression: A fix for the "A Dwarf’s Concern" quest, which previously prevented completion.
- Combat Adjustments: The character Damiane’s "Skystep" move now matches the control input used for Oongka’s "Vertical Flight." Additionally, the "Aerial Force Palm" ability no longer experiences interruptions during free-fall.
- Gameplay Stability: Developers corrected an issue where character controls would become unresponsive if a pet jumped onto a bed during player interaction.
- Technical Improvements: The update resolves an issue where NPCs were unable to pass through open wooden gates and fixes unnatural character motion while mounted at high speeds.
- Audio Corrections: Sound effects that persisted after the disappearance of "Ator’s Orb" have been addressed, as has a bug where sound effects failed to trigger following the battle with Praevus the Ancient.
Localization and Experience Refinements
Beyond the technical fixes and the new save infrastructure, the update includes various localization improvements across all languages to refine the overall user experience.
