This prior intervention contrasts with public perceptions that the forward is pursuing every available appearance to reach a milestone of 1,000 career goals.
Agreement on Playing Time and Rotation
Reporting from Nuno Luz indicates that Jorge Jesus reached an agreement with Ronaldo prior to the current four-match block, outlining that the player would feature specifically in the opening and closing fixtures—namely against Wales on September 24 and a return match against Norway on October 4. The initial plan reportedly included a scheduled 30-minute appearance during the first Norway fixture, which did not materialize due to match developments.
Despite not featuring in Norway, Ronaldo addressed supporters via social media, publishing an image wearing the national team crest accompanied by a heart emoji. The Portuguese squad remains in Denmark for the upcoming fixture at the venue across the strait, where team management will look to secure points in League A action.
