A Saudi Pro League match between Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal ended in a 1-1 draw following a controversial second half that saw a penalty awarded to al-Hilal and the ejection of Al-Nassr goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi.

cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al-Nassr in the 42nd minute, marking his 959th career goal in official matches. However, the dynamic of the game shifted dramatically after the interval.

Al-Hilal was awarded a penalty in the 53rd minute after Salem Al-Dawsari was brought down in the box by Al-Nassr defender Abdulelah Simakan.Al-Dawsari successfully converted the penalty, leveling the score.

The match escalated further when a scuffle broke out between Al-Hilal’s Rúben Neves and Al-Aqidi while attempting to retrieve the ball after the penalty. Neves initiated contact, and al-Aqidi responded with a strike, causing Neves to fall.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) was consulted, and the referee ultimately decided to issue a red card to Al-aqidi for aggressive conduct, leaving Al-Nassr to play with ten men for the remainder of the match. The game concluded in a 1-1 draw amidst ongoing debate surrounding the penalty decision and the goalkeeper’s dismissal.
