Cristiano Ronaldo is expanding his off-pitch portfolio by stepping into entertainment production and on-screen media work, according to official project announcements. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has joined forces as an executive producer and on-screen personality for an upcoming project titled Striker Force 7, a venture developed alongside Graphic India and VMS Communications, as reported by Variety.
The Expansion Into Digital Animation and Production
The venture marks a direct shift for the Portuguese forward into the animation and entertainment sector. According to Variety, the project aims to build a global superhero franchise across animation, comics, publishing, gaming, and digital content. Ronaldo serves as an executive producer on the series, utilizing his massive global social media following to anchor the intellectual property.
Sharad Devarajan, CEO of Graphic India, stated to Variety that Ronaldo’s status as a real-life athlete offers a modern parallel to classic mythological heroes. The production brings together media executives and digital strategists to design characters that reflect modern sports culture.
Business Ventures Beyond the Pitch
This entertainment move sits alongside a broad portfolio of business investments managed by the athlete. Over his career, Ronaldo has developed a lifestyle brand centered around his CR7 trademark, encompassing hotels, gyms, and apparel lines in partnership with the Pestana Hotel Group.
Industry analysts note that athlete-led production entities have become increasingly common as sports stars seek to control their media rights and long-term commercial output. By taking an executive producer credit rather than simply licensing his likeness, Ronaldo joins a select group of athletes actively shaping the content creation process from the corporate side.
