Crypto Market Liquidation Event: $261.63 Million Wiped Out in 24 Hours

Over the past 24 hours, approximately $261.63 million worth of positions were liquidated in the cryptocurrency market.

According to currently available data, long positions accounted for the majority of liquidated positions, with large-scale liquidations occurring on several exchanges.

By exchange, Binance had the largest liquidation at approximately $16.91 million in 4 hours, with long positions accounting for 54.71% of the total. Hyperliquid experienced a liquidation of $9.54 million, and the short position ratio was 60.75%, which was predominant compared to other exchanges.

Bybit and OKX also saw notable liquidations of $9.28 million and $8.87 million, respectively. In particular, long positions accounted for 59.72% of Bybit and 51.02% of OKX long positions.

Gate and HTX also experienced liquidations of $4.82 million and $2.61 million, respectively, while CoinX and Bitmax had relatively small liquidations of $500,000 and $190,000.

By coin, Bitcoin (BTC) was most affected, with about $20.05 million liquidated in four hours. Long positions amounted to $10.8 million and short positions amounted to $9.25 million, and a total of $99.08 million in large liquidations occurred in 24 hours.

Ethereum (ETH) recorded the second-largest liquidation after bitcoin,with approximately $56.71 million in positions liquidated in 24 hours.

Solana (SOL) had liquidation of approximately $2.44 million ($910,000 long, $1.52 million short) in 4 hours, and $22.57 million in 24 hours.
