Cyclops Trades Visor for Bandages in Recent X-Men Comic Run
X-Men leader Cyclops is undergoing a dramatic visual change in the current comic book run, Cyclops, as he prepares for the “Shadows of Tomorrow” storyline. Rather than adopting a new visor, as fans might expect, Cyclops will appear with his eyes wrapped in tattered bandages.
A New Look Amidst Conflict
The cover art for Cyclops #4, by artists Federico Vicentini and Marcio Menyz, reveals the striking new look. This change comes after Cyclops’ ruby quartz visor was destroyed in Cyclops #1, leaving him without a way to control his optic blasts. The current storyline sees Cyclops dealing with the aftermath of an attack by Pierce’s Reavers and the loss of Mei.
Cyclops #4 Plot Synopsis
According to Marvel Comics, Cyclops #4 centers around Cyclops seeking revenge for the loss of Mei. The official synopsis reads, “AN EYE FOR AN EYE! When Cyclops loses Mei to Pierce, he captures one of his prized Reavers as revenge! How will Cyclops use his new hostage to his advantage? And will Mei escape the clutches of Pierce’s Reaver army?!”
