Kalinina relied on a strong service performance and converted a single break in each set to overcome the younger Italian player, building on her previous quarterfinal victory against Belgium’s Otzipkaová. Following that match, Elina Svitolina needed just 59 minutes to defeat two-time Grand Slam finalist Paolini 6–2, 6–2. Paolini surrendered her serve five times during the contest, failing to mount a challenge against Svitolina’s precise baseline play. The decisive 2–0 scoreline rendered the doubles rubber unnecessary. Ukraine achieved this milestone despite the absence of Marta Kostyuk, currently ranked tenth in the world.

The Czech Republic advanced to the championship round following victories over Great Britain and Spain under captain Barbora Strýcová.
