Česká televize will broadcast nine live matches featuring Czech national football teams between September 25 and October 13, including four men’s UEFA Nations League fixtures and high-stakes qualifiers for both the under-21 squad and the women’s national team. The schedule features a prominent encounter against reigning world champions Spain alongside back-to-back meetings with England.
Men’s UEFA Nations League Fixtures on ČT sport
The Czech men’s national team opens its Nations League campaign on Saturday, September 26, against Croatia at Eden Arena in Prague. Just three days later, on Tuesday, September 29, the squad hosts England at the same venue. Both matches kick off at 20.45. The team then travels to Spain for an October 3 match in Oviedo before heading to Wembley Stadium on October 6 for the return fixture against England.
ČT sport will air all four men’s matches live. Jiří Štěpán will handle commentary for the fixtures against Croatia and Spain, while Jaromír Bosák takes over the microphone for both matches against England. To support the extensive coverage, ČT sport is expanding its daily Studio sport program to include Tuesday broadcasts during the weeks of the England encounters. The network will also produce evening highlight shows covering other matches across the tournament.
Under-21 and Women’s National Team Coverage
In addition to the senior men’s team, the broadcasting schedule encompasses crucial qualification and playoff fixtures across different age groups and divisions. ČT2 initiates the autumn slate on Friday, September 25, with live coverage of the under-21 national team facing Azerbaijan. The under-21 squad continues its qualification campaign on September 30 against Bulgaria in Hradec Králové before traveling to Leiria to face Portugal on October 6, with both matches airing on ČT sport.
ČT sport will broadcast both legs live. The opening match takes place in Pardubice on October 9, followed by the away leg in Scotland on October 13. The aggregate winner of the playoff advances to the second round of qualification.
