Eddie Hearn Attributes Missed Meeting with Dana White to Weather-Related Travel issues
According to an interview on Ariel Helwani’s show,Eddie Hearn explained that recent severe weather conditions and resulting flight limitations prevented a planned meeting with Dana White.
Hearn stated he initiated contact with White, and White also expressed interest in meeting.However, Hearn’s travel to New York was constrained by limited flight availability. He explained, “I had a flight, we had to get to New York, because we had a slot that we coudl only take off on and if we didn’t make that, who knows when we’d have got here?”
Despite missing the prospect to meet in person, Hearn indicated the situation was amicable, stating, “So I didn’t manage to catch up with him, but we were going to… I messaged him first on Saturday… So, we were supposed to meet yesterday, but things are good.”
This comes amid a public back-and-forth between the two promoters, with Dana White recently calling Hearn’s offer to meet “kind of weird” and referencing Hearn’s recent interviews as “nutty.”
