Danhausen Makes WWE Debut at Elimination Chamber

Former AEW wrestler Danhausen made his WWE debut at the 2026 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Chicago on Saturday, February 28th, emerging from a mysterious crate that had been a focal point of WWE programming in recent weeks.

The Mystery Box Reveal

For several weeks leading up to Elimination Chamber, a crate appeared on both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown, with a note indicating it should not be opened until February 28th. At the PLE, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis opened the crate to reveal a coffin. Danhausen then emerged from the coffin, accompanied by dancers dressed in his signature facepaint.

From AEW to WWE

Danhausen’s arrival in WWE comes after his departure from All Elite Wrestling. He was removed from the AEW roster page on February 27th, 2026 and had not wrestled for the company since 2023. Prior to his WWE debut, Danhausen was the betting odds favorite to be revealed as the person inside the crate Bleacher Report. Reports indicated WWE had significant interest in signing him in late 2025.

The Debut Performance

Following his emergence, Danhausen walked to ringside and presented Michael Cole with a cup of teeth. He then returned to the ring to complete a routine with his dancers. The lights in the United Center then went out, and when they came back on, Danhausen had disappeared Fightful.
