Daniel and Majella O’Donnell to Exhibit Wedding Attire and Career Highlights at Newbridge Silverware

Fans of Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell and his wife, Majella, will have the opportunity to view a special exhibition celebrating their lives and careers at the Museum of Style Icons at Newbridge Silverware in County Kildare. The exhibition, titled “Daniel & Majella O’Donnell – Music, Style & Memories,” will open on Wednesday, April 22nd, at 11:00 am .

A Journey Through Music, Style, and Memories

The free exhibition will offer a glimpse into Daniel’s decades-long career and the couple’s personal journey. Visitors can expect a curated collection of stage costumes and personal memorabilia, including a particularly poignant display: the wedding attire worn by Daniel and Majella at their 2002 nuptials .

Wedding Day Revisited

Majella’s wedding dress, complete with her tiara, and Daniel’s three-piece suit and wedding shoes will be showcased, offering fans an intimate look at a cherished moment. The exhibition will also feature iconic stage costumes, including glittering jackets and performance outfits synonymous with Daniel’s stage presence . Items from the Daniel O’Donnell Visitor Centre in Dungloe, which closed in 2019, will also be featured .

Personal Treasures on Display

Beyond the glamorous stage wear, the exhibition will include personal treasures such as a Fair Isle Aran sweater knitted by Daniel’s late mother, Julia, worn during the recording of his first song, “My Donegal Shore.” Other items include a Julien Macdonald dress worn by Majella at her daughter’s wedding .
