The Data Engineering Team fuels real-time, intelligent data insights for PlayStation’s Cloud Streaming offering.In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across PlayStation to deliver a scalable and reliable data platform that drives a data-first culture and outlook.

As a Data Engineer II, you will develop and maintain server-side applications for shaping, managing, and transforming data on a large geographically distributed infrastructure for PlayStation. Your work will include developing JVM based applications using Kotlin, Scala, or Java, Flink jobs, and apis to provide real time data and insights across the Cloud Streaming ecosystem to ensure seamless data flow throughout our data pipeline. You bring passion and expertise to continuously improve the value that our data platform provides to data producers and consumers across the organization, providing tooling, standard methodologies, and state-of-the art technology to empower data-driven decisions to the company. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience

• 3+ years of experience in software development and backend engineering developing and maintaining high throughput and concurrent systems with high availability and fault tolerance

• Proficient in JVM Languages (Kotlin, Scala, Java) and Python

• Experience with Apache Kafka, Flink, Spark
