After Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena, Dave Bautista He is the one who is best taking the leap from the ring to Hollywood. After standing out in films like ‘They Knock at the Door’, ‘Army of the Dead’ or the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trilogy, he is now one of the stars of one of the most promising reboots of the near future. It is about ‘The Immortals’starring Henry Cavill -whom we already saw characterized as his character- and directed by Chad Stahelski (’John Wick’).
Bautista will play El Kurgan, whose real name is Victor Kruger, one of the oldest immortals on Earth, and who in the original film was played by Clancy Brown. This is what Bautista looks like as the villain who will tighten the screws on Henry Cavill in this film.
The Kurgan was born in what is now Russia, on the coast of the Caspian Sea. His tribe, part of the Kurgan culture, was famous for its cruelty, known for its peculiar penchant for “throwing children into pits full of hungry dogs and watching them fight for meat” as entertainment. With these hobbies it is to be expected that Bautista will become quite undesirable…

Where to see ‘The Immortals’?
Unfortunately, this new version of ‘Los Inmortales’ does not have an estimated release date, currently situated between the current year 2026 – which does not seem likely – and 2028. We can see the original (with Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery) in the Prime Video and Movistar+ catalogue.
“The Immortals are beings of a special race who can only die by beheading each other. They have lived for centuries among men, but hiding their identity,” says the official synopsis. “Some defend Good, others Evil. A curse forces them to fight each other until only one of them remains. The Scotsman Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is one of the survivors of the Immortal clan that has survived to this day.”
