Because the event takes place at a football stadium, Kozma utilized an abandoned football pitch during his training camp to visualize the atmosphere of the arena. Describing his routine, Kozma stated that he practiced light shadowing while picturing the crowds and stands surrounding him to secure a victory on Saturday night.
Expectations for the Frankfurt Crowd
Kozma acknowledges that the local audience will heavily favor his opponent. “Všichni tam budou stát při něm, ale na to jsem připravený,” Kozma said, noting he is ready for the partisan support. However, the Czech fighter does not anticipate a hostile reception of loud jeering or whistling from the stands. He expects the stadium to remain relatively quiet rather than overwhelmingly negative toward him, describing himself as a relaxed character rather than a villain.
Logistical Challenges and Support in Germany
Despite headlining one of Europe’s largest MMA events, Kozma will travel with a limited personal entourage. “Přijedou dva kámoši z Karviné, jinak všichni něco mají,” Kozma explained, citing summer vacations, weddings, and family obligations among his friends and parents. His partner Sára remains at home with their children due to a lack of childcare. Even so, Kozma is accompanied by his professional team, including trainer André Reinders, and plans to bring his traveling friends directly into the dressing room for the event, which broadcasts starting at 18:00 on Saturday evening.
